About me

My name is Camila Carvajal, I'm from Santiago de Chile and now based and living in Brisbane, Australia. I made the decision of my life in 2016 leaving my comfort zone and experience something completely new by moving to Sydney. It was my first time travelling alone. I was excited, amazed and with no expectations. I knew that life could get crazy sometimes and very unexpected, but I´d never imagined the number of moments and feelings this crazy trip would bring me. Now, after 2 and a half years, I´m deeply in love and happily married to my Aussie man, living my dream and ready for the next challenge. 

I grew up in a loved, crazy, artist-orientated family, knowing that design would be the thing that I want to do in life, thinking and realising that everything around us has a purpose to be created. Everything has a function even if it´s for leisure or simply decoration. The thrill of achieving a finished piece that was once only a part of my imagination is what drives me to succeed in a career of graphic design. Design is to honour my grandfather and my family, it´s my passion and what keeps me awake at night, it´s my challenge to prove who am I and what I´m capable of. 
Design for me is to express myself with colours, circles, guides, structure, pictures, textures, all full of meanings without saying a word. This Is what I want to do every day and always take it to the next level.

My portfolio showcases a little piece of me and my personality together with the areas that I most like about design and life: branding, photography, merchandising, editing, travel, food, perspective, minimalist, white, the simple and the colouring.
